Hi,

I've checked the FAQ section & searched but no joy, so hoping someone will be able to help out:

I have a damaged passenger side bi-xenon headlight on my FL 2011 Cupra R. A new headlight is knocking on the door of £400 so I had a look on eBay and found one second hand. The only problem is the part number is lighlty different.

eBay Item Part #: 1P2 941 007 B
My Headlight Part #: 5P2 941 007 D

Sorry if this is a repeated question, but would the eBay headlight be suitable for my car? It's probably not but I wanted to check here first.

Does the 1 and 5 at the start of the part # refer to post & pre facelift and is the letter at the end reference to the colour of the housing?

Any help or guidance gratefully recieved, thanks.

Tim you generally find that there is a factory number and also a replacement part number.
Only real way to be sure is check that the numbers on all labels present match on both units. 5P2 is usually an Altea number but the lamps are the same on the Leon anyway.
Alternatively if you get the vin off the car the lamp is from, I can cross-reference to yours.

Hi Dave, thanks for your help.

I'll probably end up getting the headlight, bumper & front wing from yourself but thought this was worth a try. My ballasts, bulbs & ECU etc are all OK just the casing is damaged.

I'll try contacting the seller to see if he can give me the VIN number from the donor car.

Thanks again for your kind offer of help.

Tim

Unfortunately, the seller doesn't know the VIN number.

All I know is that it was manufactured on 08/04/2008.

The bar code mentions a PY21W D1S and W5WLL H1 which I assume is the bulbs used so it may not even be bi xenon?

They are both stamped "VF2" Valeo.

Thanks.
