Yellow Oil Warning Light

Hey Guys, the following light has popped up on my dash.

The Yellow Oil Light. Oil level is fine and car seems to run fine, been told it could be the oil sensor on sump, anyone had this issue and any advice on this please?

Do a scan and check if something popped up. Could it also be the oil pickup pipe being blocked?

Had a mate plug it in with VAGCOM and nothing came up but I was told that before checking, just wanted to know if anyone had any issues with these oil sensor on bottom of sump

I havent heard of such issues...yet

Yellow oil light is level, red is oil pressure, sounds like the sensor is playing up, or the plug is full of crud, get a new one or clean the wiring plug, but just keep an eye on the level with the dipstick

Thanks Jamie, keeping very close eye on oil level daily, and this seems fine. Been told with the **** weather we have had it could be grime that's got into it. Thanks for all your help lads

Hello mate, mine has been doing it too. had it over a pit the other day, WD40ed the **** out the plug but it still came back. I will be changing the sensor next oil change.

By a new sensor mine done the same thing luckily mate had a spare sensor from his lcr switched them over and problem went away

If im right.. yellow is due to your oil sensor being faulty.. red would be due to low oil presure this could be down to blocked oil pick up ect.. best to get it done every few thou. only cheap so why not
