Needing Help I Have A Seat Leon Sx 1.6 16v 2004 Plate The Epc Light Came On I Took This To My Garage Where I Was Told It Was The Throttle Body So I Replaced This But I Am Getting A Code 17989 Throttle Actuator ( J338 ) : Basic Setting Not Preformed. Ive Tried To Do A Throttle Body Adaption But It Says Error As I Need To Clear All DTC From Memory First Which Is Not Clearing The Epc Light Can Someone Please Shed Some Light On What It Could Be As I Am Now At A Loose End.

Maybe worth checking the wiring to the throttle body. Especially the connections on the plug for corrosion.
Have you also met these conditions? Especially cycling the ignition between clearing the code and doing the alignment?

There are certain test conditions that must be met before doing a TBA:
- No DTC's in the Engine Controller
- Battery voltage at least 11.5 V
- Throttle must be at idling position (keep your foot off the gas pedal)
- Throttle body part must not be dirty (carbonized).
- Coolant temperature must be between 5 and 95C
- If fault codes were cleared cycle the ignition off and back on prior to running Basic Settings.
