The reason i got thinking on this in the first place by the way is that last year i seemed to remember occasionally either hearing the fans spool up mega fast and make that whining/humming sound thats synonymous with a hot car with its air con switched on. or after i parked up after a journey the fans would stay on for a little while... now its not doing either of these things. The fans do go on and off in line with the air con being on and off however.
i also noticed that after switching off the engine, there is a very quiet whirring sound coming from around the manifold (intake) and its quiet enough that i have to place my head right by it to hear it, this is then followed about 5 minutes later by a noise that sounds like a rusty gate being shut, kinda like a squeak that hits about 4 different notes in as much as 1-2 seconds...? odd me thinks? any thought?
