Mobil 1 0w-40

Now that I am upgrading to a leon pd170 next week I think the 4.5L of oil that I bought a while ago for the 20vt engine in the out going ibiza will be no good.

Can anyone confirm that this is the case? The oil in question is mobil 1 0w-40 and on a sticker is says VW 502.00 AND 505.00 methinks I will need 507.00

Try using Mobil 1 ESP 5w30 which complies with vw 504 & 507. I use it on my 1.8tsi Leon and i'm very satisfied.

So I have 4.5L of oil that I won't be able to use

yeap, that's the one! as for the #2 question to be honest i don't really know what the manufacturer says about the tdi engine.in my case(the 1.8tsi petrol engine) i can use oil with 502 specs but i must change it more often.

It has to be 507 VW Spec for the diesel FR.
