Cant get lead to work(Will sell it or swap it)

i been a long time since i used it, cant remember how to set it up. is there a step by step guide or where can i get a new lead which is sub and compatible both with my car and the 409.1 software?? thanks

when i had the ignition on and selected com port 1 on vag com and pressed select its gave an error message with comport: OK and the next message was not connected or something or device or something.

cant remember.

tried them all, was wondering if it wasnt compatible or not. main thing is can someone suggest a good usb cable to use as my lappy only has usb ports.

If you pm me you email address ill send you a list of things to try as i got this when i got my usb cable the other day :)
 
remember to look if its set up on another com port apart from the 1,2,3,4 vag-com gives.When i reinstall mine it goes to com port 8,have to manually change it in device manager to com 4 ect.

well forget it im just going to sell this lead its a good quality one, skpang lead, bought it when i had my mk4 golf turbo and i was onthe uk-mkivs forum. with softwarea and ETOS £20 delivered, ahve loads of other software with it too like scantool etc. let me know if anyone wants it or wants to swap might do it cheaper. thanks
