Can someone please help?

My temperature light flashes every morning when I start the car from cold, If I switch the ignition off and on again all is ok?

Also recently, lots of water is coming in near the peddles of the driver side, passenger side is dry.

Any help appreciated before I take the car to a Seat Dealer

Mark.

so its flashing continuosly ? or does it settle? whats the temp doing? is it shooting up to 120 or staying at 90?

need to see where the waters coming in. under the plastic sill below your wipers water will collect , theres drain holes but it gets very mucky and maybe yours need a clean? if you follow your bonnet cable from the catch back into the car youll find where i mean.

if the waters building up there it maybe coming in via a grommet .... they look pretty water tight tho.

Thanks for the reply! There is no problem with the temp. Just the light flashing - every single morning I start the car - the engine is cold! It never happens the rest of the day! So strange! The light will keep flashing until I stop the engine - actual temp of the car - no problem

Will check under the bonnet!

im leaning towards it being involved with the external temp. mine never beeps on cold mornings but some on here do. check your manual? dodgy sensor?

water commonly comes in through the sills under the door due to the rubber seal failing iirc.
if its getting wet only under the pedals it must be coming from behind the dash. hope its the door seals

I think the water is coming through the vents - it is ringing wet up and under the dashboard! Will have to take it to a dealership as soon as I have some spare time!

Thanks anyhow,

2 different problems,

1 is you need a new expansion tank, under a tenner from the dealer, as the sensor is knackered,

2 common fault for a leon to leak, do a search you will find its coming in through the door or the pollen filter.
