just wondering, got a question for you guys who have a K03s converted ibiza with power in the region of 240bhp+

what sort of performance can you realistically expect? i've got all the parts at home for this conversion but was just wondering how quick it will really be. is that sort of power and torque in an ibiza enough to beat things like M3's, EVO's, RX-7's etc once rolling? what sort of cars have people come up against? don't want to turn this into a versus street racing thread. just curious :p

i have searched. brings up loads of irrelevant stuff though. if everyone searched for what they wanted there would be no posts being made! i thought it would be a good discussion aswell. :)

Put simply you will be able to pass Scoobs Evos and stay with M3's (E46) for a good while, as said - In a staight line

as i thought. the cupra isn't too hot on the handling side is it. i have had mine under a week and i have already fitted eibach 30mm springs, bilsteni dampers and some rear spacers. that has helped a hell of a lot.

its only good discussion when its factual and many people on here are full of ****

at the end of the day though you can pull away from some scoobies an evos with a properly set up k03 car as i have done (although most of my experiences take place on the M4)

the difference isnt a great deal in reality, but it certainly seems like it initially

i got raped on the M4 by a black ibiza cupra about a year ago when i was in my 106 gti. 70mph roll on, i thought i had a chance but it made me look like i was standing still :D

are you still on the original K03 acid? how much power and torque are you kicking out?

i am indeed...none of this swap the turbo bullshit...mates golf has a K03s and i can av it :p

as for power/torque...dunno....dont care really
but intercoolers coming home friday so i might run it sometime

why exactly did you think you had a chance? lol naturally asperated vs. turbo grunt, obvious which is always going to lose out, especially from a rolling start!

so what have you actually done to yours then? just the usual exhaust and filter and then a re-map?

because my 106 gti was running 160bhp and doing 14.4 1/4 miles! that's why :D lol. now i have my cupra i realise that even stanard it would outrun any VTS/GTi from motorway speeds.

pretty nice spec. and even at that it still pulls on scoob sti's etc?

i have ordered my FMIC from forge last week but they told me to expect delivery around the 2nd week of november. where are you getting yours from?

well i dont go around saying i pissed on an evo off the line, but i see one going past pretty quickly, it wont take more than a few seconds to match its speed and push it further....im not the type to actually try overtaking or race someone

but daz mentioned an e46 m3, i got pissed over by one a couple weekends ago, thi wasnt m4 though, this was on a series of duals and roundabouts

getting my cooler from forge directly, did u specify blue hoses? Peter told me they are on back order so i just took black...iv been in talks with them for ages though, theyve known for months i wanted one

yeah, i specified blue hoses. i think that's why it is taking longer. there waiting on hoses. i went direct to forge aswell.

have you sorted your suspension out at all? or is it standard?
