Ye it came with the feed pipe, jus try to find a place in the grill, waitin for rain to stop so i cud finish it of.

do it how i have! ;)

by the way, dont be disappointed if the DV/induction is quieter with he feed on it!

if it bothers u, u could always cut the feed short so to speak... so its a couple of inches away from the neck of the viper, but still directs cold air towards it! ;)

Will that effect the suction if i leave a gap? Less cold air take in and hot air could enter

i've got a ramair on mine without the pipework for the cold air feed. my LCR seemed a bit asthmatic with it on but once i removed it the problem was solved. i'm of the opinion that the air going through the filter has to be compressed by the turbo then go through two intercoolers so i'd have thought a cold air feed wouldn't make much difference if any at all.

like i said it depends on wat u want.. sound/ performance!

use vag com and do logs to see what happens with different options! :)

well going from the OE snorcle of an air feed to a 104mm feed made a good difference, with the smoothed airbox and green filter it made a 4% increase!

just checked and as i thought they only do it for the cupra not LCR!

reason being the SMICs!

are the air filters the same as cupra? whats the difference. The cupra have auxilary pump that links to the filter. thats. The chasis the same so should be same fittment

for the 1.8 T there are 3 kits available (according to K&N website)

part no. 57-0546.... 2005 SEAT Leon 1.8L L4 F/I - Cupra R Automotive 57i Kit

and two typhoon kits...

part numbers 69-9501TB & 69-9501TP (one has a blue charge pipe, other is polished!)
2005 SEAT Leon 1.8L L4 F/I - 180BHP Automotive Typhoon Kit (CCA)

the reason the typhoon is not available for the LCTR is because of the SMICs... it simply wont fit!

Even with a FMIC its a problem! :(

oh Dam, K & N should make one for cupra r then as they have it for other cupra's

Question
does it matter how long the air feed piping is? as im thinkin routing it so it direct out side , but worried if the length is too long, it wont make a different!

Any opinions? Longer or shorther feed pipe?

they cant make a "typhoon" for the LCR as the SMIC is in the way!!!!!!!

hence why they only do the 57i!

as for the length of the cold air feed... just do it to the grill of fog light those are your only options!

edit: just use the 80mm feed that cam with ur viper! it should be fine! :)

cool, guna try luking in the grill, may have to jack it up Let the you know tomorow how it goes.
Im dertmine to get it sorted

is that a 4% increase in airflow or a 4% drop in air intake temperatures? the charge air is heated up when compressed by the turbo and then passed through two intercoolers so in my humble opinion i can't see why having cold air go through only to be then heated up then cooled down again is so important. does the MAF measure just airflow or the temperature of the incoming air?
