how come I keep getting logged out after I post or move from from one topic to the next? and how come I cant edit my posts?

so every time I move from one topic on this forum or post a reply without hitting the remember me button I get logged out?
When you log in there is a box that says "remember me" tick that box and it "should" never ask you to log back in.

When you login on the top right hand corner there's a box to tick next to the username & password....
tick the box.
