I didn't think you could change the earlier ones as the badge was a part of the surround not the grill like ibiza_95 said (sorry I don't know your name! ) Might be able to find a surround at a scrappie or something?

i crnt jsut mesh it, if i take the padge off it goes roudn the bottom of the lights aswell so ther wil be a gap

Yours is prob the earlier one then, try and get some pics and post them on here, see if it can be done or not.

Can you just get a grille from the facelift version. Whack the FK in there and put it onto the pre-facelift ibiza?

Or are the grilles different?

different mate, i think you can do it but theres an obvious gap somewhere. deffinitely different, someone else may confirm if they can actually be fitted

Any one confirm this?

Would there still be a gap is facelift bumper was fitted as well?

I think the wings on a facelift model are slightly different to a pre-facelift so the bumper might not line-up correctly, i'm not 100% sure though.

Yes the wings are slightly different.

But bumping can be fitted. Some one on here has done it.

So anyone know if you can wack the facelift grille on as long as you have the bumpers~?:help:

Instead of looking for a new grill you could just modify your old one. All you have to do is praise of the slated grill, hacksaw away the badge. Superglue a bit of plastic to the bottom of the grille where the "S" surround used to be, filler it and re-spray it. Than you just stick some black mesh behind it. All in all took me about 4 hours. Here is the result:
