Where is my Engine "Lightning Bolt Tap" light.

I never knew they had the cigarette lighter / 12v supply in the boot. Where is it located on cars that have them?

My car was registered in Dec 2000 and it has the power supply in the boot below righthand speaker, it has the P symbol for the handbrake warning and it doesn't have the EML light.

Beaker, What was the registration date of your car? Month and year please.

hey beaker thats not fair you have way too many lights lol. I reckon they found the lost bulbs on the floor in the factory and put them on urs !

Same here I have the 12v pointless socket thingy in the boot. I wonder what light somes on if we have a problem with our engine?

if you have vag-com you can thru instrument check and it exercises the dash to see whats working and whats not.

Ill have to get my mate to try that one.

Ahh that explains it . You will probably notice that your grab handles are the ones that when pulled down and then let go will go straight up where as the 2000 has a smooth recoil if that makes sense.

Also your seatbelt hoop will be slightly silver where as us 2000 owners have a plain old plastic one

They do spring back up yes. No idea about the seat belt, you know far too much!

eh? mines a 2002 and my grab handles dont return slowly, sounds like yours been swapped with a Golf one
