Laser Park Pro fitment on LCR

Just because something acts as a parking sensor doesn't make it legal. Its illegal (criminal offence for which you could theoretically go to jail if found guilty) to jam laser guns and arguing your parking sensor did this wouldn't make a jot of difference. The risk of prosecution may be small but its certainly possible if any sort of device fitted to your car is activated and blocks a laser gun.

He or correct.

Example...i could have a screw driver in my car and say its for tightening screws, if i therefore use it as a weapon whether in self defense or not i will still get done. I dont believe that this thing is legal on that website.

The unit uses the 'license free' 904nm laser frequency. The same frequency as used by several motor manufacturers eg. Nissan's adaptive cruise control system which uses laser to determinw the distance immediately in front of the vehicle and deactivates the cruise control if the stopping distance is considered to be too short. Police laser guns use the same 904nm frequency also.
In order to prevent interference with any other laser based systems the Laser Pro Park has been designed to alert the driver of possible interference and shut down the system after 8 seconds if this is detected.
Damn I wish I never started this thread, it's like being back at school and trying to explain myself for being naughty.
