Hi, i'm relatively new here. I have tried searching but still a little unsure:

Basically I am thinking of going for a down-pipe and sports cat, but is it actually worth it?
On the cupra so far are a jetex airfilter and miltek cat back plus APR. Planning on getting forge DV in next couple of weeks when cambelt and water impellor are changed.

I am not planning on upgrading the turbo so is the DP worth it or should I spend the money on brakes/suspesion instead (if so what are good disc/pads as I like the standard wheels)?

Advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers.

depends what your after really on the bhp side. dp and cat make quite a difference is the general opinion.

as for breaks, just decent pads would sort them out without going mega money.

Thanks tony
Will think about getting this put on. Are their any disadvantages to running a sports cat?
And is there any advantage of having it done at the same time as the cambelt etc.?
Cheers

the only disadvantage to a sports cat would be the price my friend.......it will unleash a few more horses so all is not lost

Regarding your cambelt......the only advantage would be if the workshop give you a discount for having both things done in the same sitting.:)

Thanks, will need to talk to them nicely.
This is beginning to look like an expensive cambelt change!

What can be done to suspension without going down new springs and dampers route?

Polybushes such as powerflex or vibratechnics.
Strut Braces, such as a Seatsport front upper strutbrace
Rear wheel spacers to widen the rear track as its narrower than the front track.

edit:

Also thicker Anti Roll Bars, such as Neuspeed items.

Thanks for advice guys.
Will need to do it all a step at a time I think, as the money tree isn't that healthy!
Think i'll not go for a de-cat tho as wont that be a pain come MOT time?
