is there such thing as a badgeless bootstrip? think the back of my car wud look better without the little silver seat and ibiza badges on the black boot strip.

(i havent got a cupra badge to show off so fort i wud get rid of them altogether!!)

I have seen it on someone's car before, i'm not sure if it's something you can buy but you could probably get some made up.

When I bought my car, in a moment of youthful exuberance I covered it with some 'carbon fibre' effect sticky back plastic, carefully forcing the edges into the joins. Fortunately after a matter of months the 'carbon fibre' started dropping off (I'd used the interior grade sticky stuff), so I was left with just a plain black strip. Been like that ever since.

Or you could just spray it.

you didnt have L.E.D washer jets and flashy valve caps did you? :p

just a couple of ripspeed decals and a set of ripspeed chrome mats

Thanks guys. I hold my head in shame

Fortunately, this was 10 years ago, so lighted washer jets, valve caps and a shopping list under the wing mirror were just a twinkle in eye of the Max Power editor or the Halfrauds buyer.

Pity I don't have a scanner as I'd post a piccie of my first car - a 1.0 litre Mk2 Polo - I thought it was great when I was 22. Now I look back and think WTF!!!!!

I'm sure we've all been there....

I use a ripspeed alloy check plate mate on the drivers side - ITS BOMB PROOF!
It protects the SEAT mats underneath protecting the carpet!!!!

Yes thats right! Mats to protect the mats!

Back on thread! - Didn't SEAT do carbon effect inserts as an accessory! But I they still had SEAT - IBIZA in chrome!

lol I think we all have. I used to buy REVS MAX POWER and FAST CAR magazine religiously! that was wen i couldnt even drive! Soon realised the subtleness is the key to a great looking car. I hate over modified cars now. alrite as show cars but as day to day road cars they jus end up looking S*** wen your filler cracks!

I used to have a 17yr old peugeot 309 i done some really sad mods on it including chrome look hub caps for a larf i will try n post a picture up for members amusement!
