i used to have APR stg 2 (from awesome), it was a remap, nothing done to the physical chip itself, same as revo, jabba etc ...

i had apr on my old cupra and on this cupra and on both it is a physical chip, the apr sofware is too big for the standard uce to take (memory wise) and im 100 percent on that, phone awesome

im not saying your lying mate, but i got mine done @ awesome, thats why i dont understand??

regarding your problem, when i sold my ecu to someone off here before i got jabba, they guy i sold it too didnt have a FMIC or DP either, his ran fine , he only ran it like that for a week before getting his dp fitted,

if you tone the settings down a bit on the map until you get your dp fitted i would have thought you would be fine, you will need a FMIC @ some point though

whether it is or isnt doesnt really matter too much since you dont have that ecu no more

but it is likely you are having problems due to running the wrong software, which would explain why it started off ok and then the ecu started pulling back. but it might also be something to do with removing the n249 system. have you checked all the vac hoses? made sure none have popped off again

haha im not arguing mate, i went with my mate tc cupra just a month ago and they soldered a chip into the ecu, i have just phoned awesome and they have to phisicly weld a chip in as there isnt enough memory in the ibiza ecu

yeah i understood apr as a remap, i had the option of this as my car has got cruise control so i could turn it on and off with my cruise stalk.........then we found revo lying there asleep and all tucked up!

vagcom should definately find something wrong bud.

you dont have an uprated downpipe then or intercooler...

its possible you were getting high EGT's (exhaust gas temperatures) and the ecu has pulled back as a result.

i would say with your set up you need to be running lower settings. Get an sps, perform an ecu rest, and run CONSERVATIVE setttings.

ps revo stage 2 may not 'feel' any quicker, as i understand it, it is more refined particularly low down the rev range. The power is higher up the rev range so its more progressive.

i would agree with that

i run revo stage 2 on boost 6/timing 5 and i get high cf's+intake temps as i havent fitted my forge intercooler yet so you will probably find the cars pulling back.

how come awesome soldered a chip in just a month ago?? im not saying your wrong just when iv enquired they told me there isnt enough memory

well I stand corrected if so, but I am amazed at Awesome/APR if they cant flash code to a 512k ecu where everyone else can.

They do trial for ibiza cupra don tthey? (flashed not chip)

no i dont think so mate, not sure, like i say u are probably right as u kno pretty much everything there is to kno, but i think they are under the impression the standard chip needs replacing

trying not to be petty or any disrespect to Bill

but just like in the other thread with pete's ibiza...if it comes from someone who runs a business its believable but when it comes from an enthusiast like myself its not.

like said though, its very unlikely it has anything to do with memory limitations as a code like revo fits on no problem and has the same sort of features apr has automatically built in

i was running settings 8,8 i told you to turn them down straight away mate!

also told you to check the 2nd actuator pipe as i havent removed the n112 on a standard turbo car before (actuator with 2 take offs)
