Ryan i'd go Wietec coilovers personally. i've been in Ibiza's with H&R, KW & FK coilovers and none are as good as the Wietec and all of the others were pretty bouncy. Ask brad, mine are not far off standard for ride quality.

I got a set of standard suspension sitting in the garage you can have for the MOT. I was going to chuck them but you can have them if you like.

I think i get the idea of what your saying, I see no reason why you couldnt get a replacement spring for your coilies, get on the phone to the manufacturers, and explain the situation, and see what they can do to help out a customer.

if the coil spring is fractured/broken then yes.......replacement springs can be bought.

yeah the manufacturer......or......get an authorised dealer to get hold of them if they wont sell them to you directly.

You MUST be able to get hold of them, after all......you can get hold of replacement seals and stuff if they start leaking...etc

If you coilovers have 2.25" springs then you can get them at just about any motorsport supplier (demon tweeks, merlin motorsport)... in just about any poundage you want too... could be an upportunity to fine tune your setup!

(I would have thought the pundage will be written on them somewhere).

Plus... they are only about £15 each!

Thats what i thought, you can usually get different rate springs for most kits in order to fine tune to your needs so i can't see why you would have trouble getting hold of one to be honest.

Definatley an easier/cheaper option than getting a new set of coilies

Find out what coilovers you have, either by looking under the car, checking recipts/history or asking the previous owner. Then get on the blower to the manufacturer and find out what 'rate' springs should be on the kit as standard, and nag them to sell you a new one.
