Anyone come from a CTR to a LCR?

I had a damn good drive in my Type R last night (about an hour before the guy came to pick it up)... really gave it a good kicking, those iVTEC's really do love the beating!

I'd recommend a Type R to anyone, just fancied a change (and fancied getting some money for it before it's worth nothing!)

Remember issues of flooding on the RX8. I know it's mostly not a problem now, but you still have to be careful on stop starting the engine. The wheels are guaranteed to corrode during the life you have it.

It's a great car, it's just got quite a few little niggles.

Many RX8's have just been recalled for starting problems as well.

Yeah I've done so much reading up on RX8's (and I'm in the process of doing so with LCR's) and I heard a lot about the flooding/starting problems...

I'm pretty much convinced now I'm gonna get a LCR... I should have the money in place for weekend so I'll be looking for a few then.

How's the general quality of the paint? I'm gonna be after a black '04 LCR and don't wana be travelling to see supposed 'mint' cars when they're shabby - good chance of getting a real nice '04 black one?

Well, I've plumped for a Red LCR after reading the horror stories about the black ones on here...

Best to check around here if you're concerned, but it certainly affected my decision!

I have to admit I've not heard any horror stories of black paint....?

Ovni yellow is a different matter though. It's by far the best looking colour but it is prone to fading unevenly across the various surfaces of the car. All Seat's are the same, it's not Leon specific.

Re a black LCR, there is one at Evens Halshaws (Citroen) in Sheffield.

It is a 55 plate and is on at £15K+, remeber that this is what they are asking for not what you might get it for.
