Isn't the book time 0-100kph, ie. 0-62mph? Also, indicated 60 is not necessarily 60.

if I go off the speedo, mines about 6.5 and I'm almost completly standard. Igonore the speedo, its about 5mph over at an indicated 60mph in 2nd gear IMO. And we all know you need to get into 3rd to hit a true 60!

hang on guys i think some of you are missing the point, you actually think your reactions are that fast using your phone to time yourself you think your car is possibly not standard from a half a second gain in 0-60 time?

lol :)

To find out if your cars standard, get a boost gauge! It should show a standard reading on yours if its standard!

VAG-COM can also help here, by logging MAF values. If you don't have it, stick a post up in the VAG-COM help requests forum and see if anybody near you has it.

Overreading on Speedo can be quite bad, and because of the required gear charge into third and loss of speed in the charge, add a half second on, prob looking at 7.5 ish. Standard i would guess.

Agreed re: 60 in 2nd Gear with 6sp box aint happening. I have had mine timed a fair few times, the best being 7.3 seconds last summer in scorching heat. Tried a run to the redline in second with no gearchange just to see... and didnt register a 0-60 time!!

Remember Cupra book time is 7.6 and LCR book time is 6.9 seconds, so it would take quite a big increase in BHP to bridge the gap, i was happy with 7.3 as it is still standard bar exhaust and CAI. More times to come the year hopfully.

Best way to play properly, get to Santa Pod/ York Raceway to have a play with proper timing gear. Trax 0-60 run is a giggle too :)

Have you got any 60-100 figures in 4th? Another interesting comparator....

OK, I'll nip this thread in the bud.

Anyone that EVER claims a 0-60 by themselves or with a mate is talking SHITE. Bearing in mind you're talking tenths of a second here. It's never going to anywhere NEAR accurate enough to base any sort of accurate informaution on. As a second point, the speedo over reads.

Short version. Don't waste your time with home made 0-60s. They are meaningless.

If i did, they would be DIY stopwatch jobbies, and we know they aint the best for acuracy.

4th feels very strong as standard, maximum boost is about 0.9 Bar, and holding 0.75 Bar. God knows what its like with a remap giving it a kick up the arse too... cant wait.

What times is yours running?? Must get to Pod soon, think there is a show/RWYB weekend after Donny, may try and make it so i have some more times to compare before the mods hopefully start over summer....

when mines was standard it was shwoing 0.6, when it was reampped it goes up around 1.2 or abit higher

Sorry  You can't do a true 60 in second with the 6 speed box. Widely agreed.
I respect the wealth of knowledge on this board, but I tried it tonight, I touched 70mph on the clock in 2nd.

I know my speedo is not that far out as a steady 100 on the clock is 93 on the gps. gps is +- 0.1mph

I fail to see how that is not over 60. Maybe my limiter is a bit higher somehow? (or kenetic energy due to the acceleration?)

2nd Gear is 2nd Gear, no matter how many BHP you have it is still geared exactly the same, you just get there quicker! ;)

Also remember something that came up when i bought my 20VT, urban Myth maybe.... remeber hearing that a standard 20VT was quicker to 60 than a remapped 20VT due to something or other, cant see how that is true, but hey... i didnt say it in the first place????
