Engine Sound

My engine sound a little liek a derv atm .... a sorta of Nocking sound. I am convinced its the Hyrdolic Tapets and they just need an oil change

can anyone give me some advice ?

the cam chain on the 1.8 linking the 2 cams over the head can stretch and start to knock off the rocker cover seen this a number of times, may be that

what mileage has it done?

tbh my 2.0l is quite a rattly engine as well which has done about 90k. when was the most recent oil change

Its Done 45k on a Wreg (2000)

and yes i gotta start somewhere because i crashed my other car my insurnce is mega high!

tbh i'd be surprised if theres an issue there

there are oil dditives you can get to lessen noisey tappets but it wont do a great deal over all

aslong as the belts/chains arent fecked it should be ok but depends where the sounds coming from really

And she drives fine imo!
