My brembo`s have been hit with stones a few times causing the lacqure to become holed, lift and let air in so now the red looks pink and faded:cry: anyone else got this if so whats the best way to get over it without painting the calipers
or re-powder coating them.

I'm gonna try knocking the flakes off mine and just re-laquering.

That's what I did worked a treat, make sure you mask up properly and de-grease / clean the caliper, knock off the off flakes and overspray the lot. Do 3 or 4 coats and they come back as good as new.

As with most spraying the time is in the prep work and masking etc.

Brembo logo is under the lacquer so will remain after you have done this.

This isn't an LCR specific problem, as many EVO owners have the same problems with their Brembos. In fact, somebody posted a link to an EVO forum with a great guide to refub'ing them a while ago.

Did you use normal laquer? I would have thought you need high temp stuff?

is it in warranty??? i had perfect calipers until a brake service in january... it still going on at the min but i think they will be replacing them under warranty.....or incompetence, one of the two..

worth a try

I'm still in the process of trying to find a company who is willing to professionally refub' my Brembos. I want a slight colour change too when I get it done but not many people are willing to do it for me :(
