always going to be some1 that has gone that 1 step further ;)

Think you'd miss the handling of ** Clio as the ibiza aint that hot compared to other models, but ibiza they do have huge potential n go like stink, especially wiv 230 bhp

Strange there is one on here with 188bhp!?
i think that level of power with the fr takes it passed the limit of the standard clutch for torque, which is what is meant by replacing parts

seen the new corsa and the styling is pretty crap imo, i would not have one myself despite the fact for a performance diesel hatch it is the only one which competes with the ibiza in that department imo

out of interest what do you think seat will do with the mk5 diesel wise .wouldnt it be great if seat actually asked us seat drivers what we want in the next model . quicker diesel engine and actual sporty seats would love that .

Not sure what they would do but I would want the following:-

200BHP Diesel and a 220BHP petrol,
Good set of seats, similar to Golf GTI or new Civic Type R
Dual zone climate,
A dash board (nothing like the MK2 Leon Cupra:hide: ) more like the Golf or Civic again.
A folding key.
Better rear suspension set-up

I should rename this the to do list for SEAT engineers.

Ibiza.... Infact SEAT in general - VW Pedigree?
Vauxhall have never been known for bulletproof engineering or bodywork!

S2000's arent that fast - yes, they do have great revvy Honda engines.
The S2000 is just a 'luxury' 2 seater convertible - performance isn't as "blistering" as a number of factory performance road cars.

We bought SEAT for the complete package - Styling / Performance.
(VW under the bonnet/body panels). Also more unique - not as common to see on the roads as other manufacturers!

Why follow the herd!?... I'm sticking with my Ibiza! ;)

The new Corsa beats the Ibiza on built quality and feel hands down. has come on to a complete new level.

Personally my money would go on a second Focus St which can be picked up for 14k now, think that would solve the debate.

I would have to agreee with this. The quality on the new corsa has been upped tremeoundously. However look at the price tag of the Corsa. There are dealerships trying/succesfully flogging 1.4 corsa's for 13-14 grand :wtf:

Seems like there are enough fools to buy it though.

I have found out some more stuff about the next gen ibiza/polo.

From the words of my source:

"Next Polo/Ibiza/A1 and new Fabia will run on a highly updated version of VWs current Polo platform PQ24 "

corsa is Undoubtedly better but the bottom line is how the car makes your feel, th e Ibiza seems to be a bit more grown up. I would feel a real boy racer in a corsa vxr as its trying to hard, I would rather spend the extra and buy the astra vxr which is better and more lairy and the styling is tasteful

Yeah point taken about the price, but then you would need to comapre the FR against the lower powered 1.6 turbo SRI corsa which is out later this year to contest the junior hatch level. Its also 150 bhp. and will be evenly priced.

I had a drive in a new Corsa the other day (not the VXR) and whilst I agree that the build quality and materials used are good, I hated the drving position and the steering had no feel and was too light. Not sure I'd buy one at that price......

From your comment I take it you haven't driven the Astra VXR

It is the worst of the newer range of hot hatches that I have driven so far and I have driven a few.

The only thing I liked was the steering wheel and seat.

felt all chavy when I got out:repuke:
