I've done and search and can't find anything in particular....

Is there anyway I could change the dials on my 53 plate Ibiza to the white dials like on the FR and Cupra? I've had a look and can see some screws in the cluster...if I unscrewed these would the plastic cover come off?

Has anyone else done it? And where could I get the white dials from IF it's possible?

Any info is helpful.

Cheers guys and gals.

I ain't changed the dials but this weekend I had the cluster out and fixed a dodgy connection with the fuel and voltage needles

ideal way is to remove airbag and steering wheel but if not move steering wheel fully down and out to get better access so as not to scratch the glass front while wiggling it out
changing the dials would be very hard unless you were going to fit a new FR clock set as the needle assembly's are soldered in and awkward to access

edit

BTW with an FR clock set you would loose the voltage and oil pressure function

Cheers Nathwarr. Tbh it doesnt really bother me that my dials are black, i like to white ones alot though. My old man suggested it as my parents Leon has them in and he thought it would be a cheap upgrade reasonably easy to do. Obv not! thanks for advice anyway. :)

On a similar note, have a Spanish Ibiza mk4 with KPH speedo. Looking for replacement dials/clocks to convert to mph so I can import it. Anyone know where I can get a set? Cheers, Les

Nope you cannot, . The only way is to buy aftermarket repro dials. If you do come across new dials you will need to get them recoded as the engine will not run as i think thats where the Immoboliser is.

I tried to fit a set of Tdi sport dials to my old FR and the car would cut out a few secs after starting.

A new set of dials from SEAT will cost about 400 quid
