It all depends on how you're going to drive it.
The FR is the lukewarm version, so you have (IMO) crap 288mm brakes, a stodgy ride and a small side mount intercooler thats covered by the foglight so you get heatsoak rather quickly. The FR is more suited to motorways, I feel. Also, you may as well buy a Cupra if you wanna do any performance mods. The good thing though, it has group 8 insurance and is cheaper to buy!
The Cupra has 312mm discs and AP 4-Pots (same as the Clio V6, Noble M14, most TVRs), nice exhaust system, a massive FMIC, and suspension that feels exactly like the SEAT Sport Eibach/Sachs kit on the road. The Cupra is like a modded car out of the box, buy it and drive it fast without the messing about! (not that its stopped people messing on here!)
Before the FR boys get offended, remember I once had a 130 Sport, so I know what they're like.

and i got £1700 off the list price at my local seat dealer.I ordered a black 1 cause they look da dogs balls!Ive had leons in da past a petrol cupra and a diesel fr.And they were fun.But wen i drove a used ibiza cupra,f*ck i couldnt get enough fun out of it.Cant wait to get mine.Do you benefit much from remapping?my mate says u lose torque which i think is bullshit.
