I have a weird problem with a 2001 Seat Leon 1.9 SDI

- When I attempt to open the doors with the remote control, nothing happens
- When I open the drivers door with the key, the passenger door will open as well, but the back doors and boot do not do anything
- When I attempt to lower the windows using the buttons on the drivers door, nothing happens
- If I leave the key turned in the lock after I lock/unlock the door, the windows will go up/down.
- There is a light on the dashboard indicating that the boot is open although it is clearly not.
- The fuse for the electric windows/central locking is blowing.
- I brought it to an auto electrician who could not find any short circuit in the wiring despite taking the car apart.
This is doing my head in and any help would be much appreciated.

ElasticTangent, Where is the comfort unit located and have you any idea of the replacement cost?

Sorry eddiek but I'm not sure. I've not had any problems with mine but I remember reading about similar problems on this forum. Have you tried a search?

I brought it to another auto electrician this morning after trying the dealer yesterday. The electrician seems to think its the Central Locking Control Unit that's faulty. I hope my nightmare is nearly over.

Thanks for all your help.
I eventually got it sorted!
It was a short circuit inside the Central Locking Control Unit.
When the wire with the short circuit was snipped, everything started working again. The only thing I am without is the interior light which I can live with.
