I've just discovered a nasty 'nick' in one of my front tyres, and before I either get it repaired (probably unable to) or replaced, just wondered if anyone can recommend any other tyres from standard (Bridgestone Turanza 205/45/R16).

 Bl00dy thing has only done 4000 miles too!!

Does your car have a space saver spare?
If not how about putting your spare tyre on the wheel with the "nicked" tyre then getting a part worn tyre for the spare wheel.

Just had a look and my spare is a full size, so I think I'll swap the tyres over. It's not a bad 'nick' and I'll see what my local friendly tyre expert reckons, before I get the tyres/wheels swapped over.

Just been to my friendly local tyre dealer and he said it's not bad enough to even warrant replacing with the spare. Advice was to stick the 'nick' back down with some superglue!!

If i wanted some good looking tyres Continental SportContact 2.. impo, but they are expensive!!!

Just got a pair fitted on to the Altea, stick to the road very well and are loads better in the wet than the P6000's previously fitted.
The missus has had some PZero Nero's fitted to her Ibiza FR, they seem to stick pretty well, in the dry at least, un-tested in the wet.

Mind which superglue you use cos some will melt the rubber, and that will warrant a replacement

Whilst hunting in the garage for some glue, I came upon a bicycle inner tube repair kit. Smeared some of that on and left it, came back 10 mins later and pressed it together and it stuck great. Can't even tell there was a problem now.
