No matey, it's preface lift so it's running on 16's at least for now, anyway.

probably get some bigger wheels at some point, but i want to get the suspension done before that, as it handles like a wounded hippo at the mo'

Although the suspension isn't knackered it's just rubbish, so some koni/eibach's will be going as soon as really....

Whats up with the suspension? or is the standard cupra/FR suspension different to the LCR? I find my LCR quite good at cornering etc etc given that it is a large car...

I drove a 225 LCR a couple of weeks ago, and it did feel much better, forsure..


Tbh, it too hard, don't get me wrong, over the years and all the diiferent cars I've had, I normally change the suspension for something firmer, as I don't like cars that sway about when cornering, but the 20VT suspension is just way too hard as stock, actually it's the rebound which is too firm, & the compression is too soft, so the car hit ruts and ridges with a crash, but when you push it hard through a series of bends it goes all floppy, due in part I suspect because there isn't a rear ARB fitted as stock.

Apart from this slightly iffy standard suspension set up, it's a cracking car with room for improvement...

I personally wouldn't use anything other that Toyo T1R's or better still T1S's on my motor. I've had loads of tires through my numerous cars and never had such brilliant wet weather traction which imo is what we need most in this country?

Had falkens on my first car, Renault 19 16v, and went through them like butter! Went for them for price but wish i didn't! They are just too soft! Had Goodyear Eagle F1's on my evo, which were my fav until i tried the Toyo's, they just don't let go!! The F1's have a medium/hard compound so last a bit longer than the Toyo's which are medium. About £20 difference in price though.

If you drive hard i wouldn't get falken, your better off with khumo as they lasted me ages on a front drive car but saying that, the grip was awful as its a rock hard profile.

I do tend to drive a bit hard Tbh, it's a little bit late cos the Falkens are on the way now, I gotta agree with the Toyo's a mate had T-1S on his Scoob, when i drove that it was simply amazing the level of grip it had but both the Evo & Scoob are both 4 wheel, so i don't think that's typically relavent to the Leon, Tbh..

I'm also a little strapped what with MOT/Service and spending money on other little bits & bobs, so Falkens it was, i do hope i'm not too dissapointed we shall see, if they only last a couple of months i won't get them again, but if they grip like crap to a blanket even in the wet, I'll be a happy man, cos the ones that are on there now slid at the slightest hint of a wet road....
