where is it possible to get the wide arches / wings like on this mk2?

i'm now thinking along the lines of a track slag car, but slightly euro lol

You'd have to get real friendly!!

And even then the cost would be prohibitive!

i beleive this was asked before and basically you would need a few people to do this and get a mould for it, would look very good but would cost quite a bit to do

theres a guy on here with the panels. he wont make moulds for it cos its not feasbale to do so financially. but if youre willing to take the risk of making the moulds for them he may lend you the parts...

tho i dont actually know if he would

say you get wider body - how do you lengthen the axels without using big spacers which will ruin the scrub distance? new axels??

no idea, i was just thinking increase the width of the wheels to make the track wider

Rob T has the arches and he would need moulds taken of them at £500 an arch I think he said. Then you would need to make the panels up from fibreglass or what ever you wanted to put in.

If only the moulds existed!

Running 40mm spacers would work but you might need to replace your stub axel if it does go. But someone who owned an ibiza running 40mm spacers didnt have one go in over 2years of driving it in rally cross. All this info is in some posts on here somewhere!

just out of interest whats the best welder to use for body panels, like wings, is it MIG? (that is the one that feeds the welding rod through the flame isnt it?)

Boll0cks to a mould. A cnc press programme do the trick in sheet metal?
