Thinking about it ( yes Rash i do think sometimes :p ) probably best not to remap it if you are only used to a 1.4 NA engine car. Remapping and putting a hybrid turbo on as soon as i get a car is a bad habit of mine

Its a 160bhp cupra not a 1600bhp skyline!!!

I'm well aware of that, however a young lad in his first quick motor/GTI type thing would tend to drive it like its on fire and would soon find that his bag of talent has run out quicker than expected. :drive2:

Well what are you waiting for then get yourself down to Allards mate. :D

Still considering some other options:-

New Civic Type R
New Leon Cupra
1 year old BMW 325D
New to 1 year old Audi A3 SLine TDI 170 & a trip to Allards

However don't really want to leave the Seat fold, had some good times.

Unsure about going back to petrol, how-ever can't buy an FR knowing there's
a Cupra.

Dave already has a remapped diesel, I won't say what it is though! :p I tknow the standard Cupra will be an improvement. If I'm honest, the change from a done up 130 to a standard Cupra was a big improvement!

I know what route I'm going down next, it's either going to be a 123d coupe or a 323d coupe (if they release it!)

The 325D is running the 3.0D engine, the 335D, well I just don't have that sort of cash at the moment, maybee in 5 years time if I don't have kids.

Whats the storey with DPF issues or should I do a searchy

The 335D has the twin turbo setup though.
I personally wouldn`t buy a PD170 unless i could take off the DPF even if i was going to leave the car stanard. The DPF stops the car getting remapped over about 200-210 bhp because it will block and send the car into limp mode not that it doesn`t have a habit of doing it anyway. If you are thinking about buying any type of PD170 with a DPF you seriously need to look into the problems people are having with the new DPF. It`s enough to turn me back to buying/tuning petrols. :headhurt:

Thanks for that Devonmikey (I defo didn't know that) I was wondering why you had bought the 140 TDI and not the 170 TDI.

HHHHHHhhhhmmmmm makes me wonder about the 325D now as well, thats running 200BHP as standard and the 3.0D runs 240BHP, I was thinking remap and possible bigger intercooler to go way past 240BHP.

Its true, I do current drive a 130bhp remapped 1.9Turbo diesel (its a Punto) So I'm happy that I can deal with a step up, I'm a fairly sensible driver anyway, most the time!

Oh and to anyone that wants a bimmer derv, beit a 25 or a 30 or even a 35 - just get it! They are fantastic cars, been in a remapped 330d and it was a beast, and didnt even sound like a derv. (apart from tickover)
