Hey hey,

Now i dont know if i've posted in the right section here but here goes.

Took my cupra to work on saturday morning, and thought ooooh ill do a 0-62 timing. The car did it in 6.6secs ( with a correct gear change as i want to keep my gearbox).......

I then did a 50-70mph check in 3rd gear and got there in about 6ish seconds also....

Also am i doing a mid range test right? what speed an gear am i testing?

Now i bought this car from a dealer 5 week ago, not done anything to it.....with the tests, could you advise me whether this car has been mapped?

There is no air filter or mods under the bonnet at all.

Cheers guys!

i thought the same with my fr i was gettin 7 secs to 62 every time i think seat just under estimate the power/speed of the cars . how are you timing yourself

Well 60 and 62 makes a difference within itself. Nevermind the fact 60mph on your speedo is more like 55mph actual. Seat time them with extra weight in aswell. Your 0-60 is about a useful as a solar powered torch matey as in so inaccurate! Sorry!

No worries, at least your being honest.

So my best bet would be to go to a rolling road session to find out details that way then?

and what does that mean? Im new to all this stuff buddy...sorry

VAGCOM is diagnostic software you can plug into your car.. it allows you to view what various sensors around your car are doing/measuring.

By doing this you can usually see your boost, your air flow, intake temperatures etc etc...

Do a searchy, it'll all become clear. Wealth of knowledge on here.

If you don't do that, find someone local that is willign to come sit with ya and do some 'logs' of your car :)

Without the storing feature of the power!!

r1dd1ck - A few people in this area have VAG-COM and we regular do logging on injectors, boost etc etc.

I know u said you couldnt make the meet, but im sure we can arrange another one, or come to the X-mas meet!

When I replied I was saying your 6.6 isnt the case, but unless u go back and forth down the same road, even with the correct timing and actual speed and then work out a average of them all.

Mike_obd did some timing that was a little more accurate than a stop watch, and came back with a 6.5 0-60 time of a PD130 with a remap running near on 180bhp with cheap'ish' tyres! So 6.6 wont be far wrong from a PD160 matey :)

Cheers mate. Yea im booked on the christmas meet, if my car is out of the garage by then....

Ill eventually get vag-com running ric2001 sed he'll do it but i wanna get my car sorted through warranty before i plug in....i no they cannot trace it but im just taking a precaution.

Thanks anyway guys, will let u no when i get some figures.
