i.e around the lights and door cracks etc

Try one of these, I do! 212km/h :D

Waffle weave towel ???? come on enlighten me, where do I get one......must be better than the genuine chamois I use that keeps rolling itself up when I try to dry off..........a bit like my thong when I take if off of a night :D

no your not alone mate, I was looked at many many times with odd looks as \i towel dried my cars! Even in the cold I was there washing, drying and polishing special wheel wash formula and all.

i've got a couple of waffle weave towels that i use as they do soak up a fair bit of water.

i find the poorboys one i have is better than the meguiars because its a fair bit bigger.

have a look in the detailing section for more info on stuff like this.

The time i spend washing the car you just get looks from people passing by and the neighbours probably think im obsessed

"Obsessed is the word the lazy use to describe the dedicated"
:p:wave:

and while your at it u may as well get the lambswool wash mitt and the rest of the ammunition

i just washed mine tonight for the first time in about a month.i nearly convinced myself i had anthracite rims.
its drying all by itself, hope we don't have a frost tonight. i just can't be assed in the winter.

i was out for 4 and a half hours on sunday washing mine, i user a microfibre towel to dry it, (Pounland or other stock these). polished and then sealed using Super resin polish and EGP.

Now why is it when your washing your car, people who walk past are inclined to say "should i bring my car for you to do next" or "come down and do mine"

!!! its not funny the first time you hear it so its not going to be funny after 4 hours!!

Yeah i get a bit of a slagging off the gf for wash then drying the car... I keep telling her a clean car is a happy car Lol!

She also has a go about the amount of stuff i buy for it and the cost... Just tell her i spend my money on what i want i she can spend her money on what she wants... (bags, shoes, clothes, make-up etc etc etc)

Not told her about the recent remap as yet tho... Waiting on the right time hahaha :D

It's not sad to groom your car, use two buckets, a grit guard and a lambswool mitt (or two if you're doing it properly - one for the upper panels, one for the lower grittier panels...) and dry your car with a special waffle weave towel (or two - a spare in case you drop and get grit on one - you don't want to spread grit over nice clean panels. Sonus towels rock!) or spend several hours cleaning it. Myself and the Other Half do this to our respective vehicles weekly, and in shifts. That might be a bit sad, actually...

Is it sad to schedule the ritual in your mobile phone's calendar and have it remind you, though?

have a couple of meguairs drying towels to get rid of the streaks too..

Also have probably about £300 worth of different shampoos, polishes and waxes etc lol most of which dont get used.. Think that probably makes me more of a saddo than you! ;) :p
