So there I was... pootling along at 'some' speed, about 1930 so it was dark although others on the road so my lights weren't on full beam.

Very quickly a BIG rabbit (or possibly Hare - didn't have time to look at his ears!) appeared smack in the middle of my lane... probably thinking to himself "f**ing ell, that was close, managed to miss that one" - as the oncoming car passed me...

THEN - he got a Cupra to the back of his head/body... quickly.

So - after the initial rage, I'm driving home thinking "ah well, I can wave goodbye to the splitter (I slowed down and opened the window incase it was dragging or catching etc). Put the car in the garage and then thought... well - I've gotta look at some point:

Needless to say, I don't think Thumper made it... I had the choice of him, a river or a field and the speed I was going - one of was gonna get pretty poorly!!

Anyone know if a bodyshop will be able to patch it up? I'll post a better pic when it's light tomorrow.

He was pretty large! I hope this isn't a 'I know what you did last Summer' moment - and I've killed someone :)

I did think when I saw him "I hope u move mate, cos this is gonna hurt us both!!"

They say things come in 3's, so combine this with the screenwash problem and I'm due another one :(

soon sort the bumper out with a plastic repair kit and whilst your there cut out the middle section of it before you get it repainted

is craig! still breaking that yellow cupra? if its expensive to fix may be cheaper to buy a new one?

you must be 'hopping' mad <groan>

i'll get my coat

Well, it didn't look any better in the daylight :(

I saw the beast on the way to work this morning - it must have been about 2ft long!!! So that'll confirm that it was a Hare not a rabbit... still can't get over the mess it's made
