Let me be the first to say Well Done :thumbup:. I bet you were well chuffed when it finally started. I don't think I've seen a G40 before. I think Zero is thinking of doing a G60 but no one I can think of with a G40. You will love the charger whine :D Just out of interest, was it completely a home DIY project or did you have to get a garage to do most of it??

Excuse my lack of knowledge of the G40 engines but is yours a 1.3 G40 engine and charger or is it just a normal (ADL) 1.4 Ibiza block with a G40 charger bolted to it???

If its the latter then I'm sure a LOT of peeps on here would like to know at least a rough parts list required for the conversion [B)]

Ye was very happy when it fired up!!! yes as a matter of fact it was completly a diy project the g40 sat on the 3 seats mounts on the car the one @ the rear the on on the gear box and the one on the front all lined up with the g40 mounts!! had to make a golf gti rack fit cause i have lost my power steering!!!! wiring was quite simple i got all the diagrams and sat down my garage and look @ them!! but the only thing i had done was my exchaust welded @ custom exchausts in cardiff

ye i deicded not to charge the seat engine but i still have my eaton which will probaly be on after christmas!!! 22psi here i come !!!
 
its nto goin aswell as it should to be honest ye it does need alot of tuning !! im only using a standadspi fuel pump atm but ive only drive it once. im gettin a vr6 pump in it? not 2 sure weather it would be suffiecnt enough and weather it would fit stright in?? do you have any ideas?
 
A vr6 pump uses the same sort of housing as the ibiza pump but it sits in the bottom of the tank if i remember correctly. you might be lucky and get a vr6 pump to fit in the ibiza housing but if not u might be able to craft the two housings together some how
 
oh and well done! i thort about doing this conversion but couldnt find an good engine for the right money. would be very interesting to see how well it goes!!
