Hello guys,

Thought you might be interested to see my economy workings out over the last 4 months inc a break down in cost of fuel.

Anu comments?

The Millers may have made a difference. I use it in mine, and without doing as extensive a calculations as those above, I'm getting around 55mpg in total, possibly a smidge less.

I might make one in the new year to see how mine compares. Very rarely see below 600 miles per tank, and usually get 630 on average, so mine should prove to be fairly good over a few months.
I think i will add a column to compare the OBC version of MPG over a tankfull to the actual, and work out any differences.

43mpg in summer and 41mpg in winter - almost without fail.

God knows what its going to be like after tomorrow - going from standard to stage 2. I'm expecting 2-3 mpg down. Assuming everything being equall.

I'm still amazed how some people can clear 50mpg with a PD150. The best I've ever got was 49mpg - granny driving from Darlington down the A1 to Cambridgeshire!

I am a little bit shocked that some of you keep a spreadsheet.......

I have had my car three years and not done this.. Do we not trust the onboard calculator?

I'm doing a 700 mile round trip on Sunday, mostly on the motorway, be intresting to see what I get! Looking for 55+ at least!

think i may join the geek crew.
@Nathanio, can you upload the formulas you used, so I know it is based on same calculations.

I normally see 45mpg give or take 2 and av 540 a tank.
that includes, 360miles a week on sweeping a roads and 140 to oxford on motorway with town driving.
Mainly run on tesco as not enough shell to use frequently enough and esso is more expensive.

People like this always have money - its called control! :cartman:

No. Don't always trust the car, many years ago a mate who had a Nova GTE (about three years old at the time) waited for his fuel light to come on before filling up. It never did....
