• Hey Guest💡👉 We have just launched our new Dealer Directory and review service Find out more now
Mine is an 05 plate 18k, and does the same. Dont notice it much when you are just driving around town etc. But just came back to kent from Newquay and you notice it loads when you are driving for so long. you have to keep it steering to the right all the time (only a samll amount) but after 5 hours drive you notice it lol

I took my car to Budget yesterday and they did a full check, but could not find any problems, so unless you're prepared to pay the money to get your car properly tested on a jig and aligned you're not going to fix the problem.

All I know is that I'm sick of my tyres going bald on the outside edge in just 12 months and having to replace them before every MOT. Its the best car I've had, but I won't be buying another one.

I might try here:

My problem seems to be down to the camber of the road and my tyres. I've had new tyres on the front and the problem isn't so bad now. Also I noticed that driving on the right side of the road (pref a quiet one) my car pulled to the right instead of left. I don't think many cars are going to be dead straight all the time.

VW do a "full" 4 wheels align for about £80, and they adjust the camber too, most places cant/dont adjust camber, they just align the tracking. I'd give that a try.

Would changing the ball joints affect this? Just noticed mine doing this after having new ball joints and cv gaitors fitted, never noticed it before.

You definitely need a 4 wheel align mate, the ball joint is what affects the camber!

This could be worth a go at £80. I've got same problem ever since I've owned the car (since June this year) but it breezed through MOT. It's just a bit irritating now and then...

My local seat do the same thing for £65, might be worth checking with your seat garage!

Yeah I thought that after I typed my last comment, lol........

Will be giving them a call on Friday once the festivities have calmed down a bit. :)

I noticed my LC pulling slightly to the left. I recently got 4 new Eagle F1s put on and has the tracking done while they were at it. I was asked if the car had been involved in an accident as the rear axel was off and cannot be adjusted. This really freaked me out as I only bought it (2nd hand) and was worried that I'd been had.

Anyway I've heard that a lot of VW group cars have the same problem and that its not necessarily due to accident damage. There is no evidence of any damage to the car and the rims and panels are all fine. It's within the tolerence allowed for the NCT (MOT) so I'm just gonna have to leave it. The only way to fix it is a new rear axel. Which will cost

I think all Seats pull a bit to the left, especially LC's and LCr's due to the torque output of those cars :)

my car has started to pull to the left too but it is going in on monday for a new wheel bearing as it is loose so after that and it has jad a re track i hope it sprts it out as it never did it before!! what do you guys think??

Mine was tyres, but you have to have a good make tyre on the front PZeros etc. Ive heard about the lower bushes but mine where ok.

If its under warranty still, take it in and they will check it out. If not then it can be an arse to find plus ££££££

i read somewhere on here about them having faulty lower knuckles on the steering column??

mine pulls to the left....it's annoying! i've had the tracking done and new tyres. still does it

i'm up for a service and wouldn't mind getting it sorted if i knew what to ask for.

faulty lower knuckles? elaborate please.... not heard of this before, but I'd like to know if I can get it checked out or looked at somewhere

Same problem. Do mostly long motorway journeys, holding the pressure over all that time really gets on the nerves!
Got tracking done, tyres etc are fine.
Just wondering if anyone had any success with the knuckles thing? - or any of the suggested solutions (vw - jig aligment thingyameejig etc) for that matter?

i heard its a common fault, and its todo with the rear subframe not being alligned properly?

i am a 'high performance tyre speciaist" , (tyre fitter), and i have the facilities to do 4-wheel allignment on most vehicles.
i noticed this same problem, and it is the rear offset is waay off, hence the pulling to the left. Basicly when you track a car, we match up the rear flanks to the front, using a chart to set the front toe angle. (either negative, ((toe out)) or toe in ((toe in)) )

the main reason you get a car alligned is to cure pulling and reduce tyre wear.

i was just wondering if anyone has had any joy adjusting the toe at the front in such a way the car dosnt pull? i know it will not be good for tyre wear, but that dosnt bother me too much. Im just sick of the ******* thing pulling. Its really starting to annoy me, so much that as much as i love my car, im thinking of getting rid of it.

any help to solve this most annoying problem please contact me with any details

also, if anyone was wondering, for the 1M model anyway, the settings should be (at the front anyway) 0.0 (parallel), witha tollerence of 1.1 either way.

Okay so I did a little bit more research and discovered that you can adjust the rears, but it is a bit of a bugger to do.
Also, I have solved(ish) my pulling issue, and as someone else has said, it was to do with unevenly worn tyres!
I fitted a pair of Micheling Pilot Sport 2's on the front, and the pulling has subsided, so I'm planning on a new set on the rear also, then re-allign, so the steering wheel is straight again, and hopefully, It should be completely sorted :)
