it would have been a ST TDCI by the sound of it, which is a 2.2 tdci with 155bhp and a 0-60 time of 8-9secs iirc

brakes on my ibiza have always bugged me that they never felt right in my opinion
new master cylinder/servo/abs unit/pipes/hoses/calipers/pagid pads you name it
been banging around the last month in a fiesta 1.1 4sp
and moved the ibiza last night and just sniffed the brakes and nearly went through the windscreen - maybe they aint so bad i just need to slow down a bit

Easy way to tell is the engine noise. One is petrol ( ST220 as mentioned above) and the other is diesel (ST TDCI 155bhp). You can't compare the ST220 to the FR as its a bigger engine and different fuel burner!
