Quite a concern this one. Basically when sitting in traffic or after starting the car etc, my car is almost vibrating intermittantly. Has been going on for just over a week and at first thought i was just going a bit mad. However it is Really noticable now. My seat is juddering every 3 seconds and its very annoying. The engine is idling fine, the revs are at a steady 750rpm and there is no noticeable sound coming from the engine when the rumble happens.

So if anybody has experienced this or may know what it is, can you please post!

Thanks for your time, Lewis

No idea mate, but I would get down the dealer to have a look, deffo sounds wrong

there's a thread about this in the TDi section. Almost everyone with a 2.0TDi on that thread says that they've got the same judder (I know I have)

No one seems to know what the problem is but it's reassuring that lots of us have it

I have noticed this with my Cupra, I have had a Remap but it started doing it before that. I do not notice it all the time, I think only after I have booted it!

Would be good if to know if anyone else with a petrol leon has noticed this?

Nope - does it with non-DPF-fitted cars too. Seems to be a trait of the 2.0 TDI. I can't say I've massively noticed it through the seat - I tend to feel it through my clutch leg if I'm holding the clutch down at traffic lights etc...

Yes I get this every now and then even before the remap.

I get this on occasion, just put it down to driving a diesel and resonant frequencies etc. Doesn't happen all the time, but I do notice it more when the engine is cold.

Has anyone found a solution to this. Picked my Leon FR 2.0Tdi at the weekend and have done 250 miles and today i noticed when i press the clutch down, now and again a vibration/noise/judder comes through the clutch and the brake pedal.

I've noticed this occasionally as well, mainly if I'm holding the clutch in whilst at a standstill. I know my old 1.6 didn't do it, but had just put it down to being a diesel. Maybe I need to ask el dealer....

May be it is all the zenith grey ones ;) My car is exactly the same as yours :D

If it's any help, I think it's just a trait of the engine. I currently drive a MkV Golf GT (Same engine as yours) and mine intermittently does it. My mate has same car as me but with more miles on the clock and his is more pronounced.

Doesn't seem to affect performance though, just seems to happen at idle...

Have the same problem but was in my friends 2.0 Mondeo diesel and it also does it so it must be a trait of larger diesel engines.

Ditto in my cupra... i think its the petrol quality?

i get this in my cupra esp after ive been giving the car a bit of a push

doubt its anything to do with petrol quality as i only ever use 99 ron in my car and still have the problem feels like a dull thud almost like a misfire in one of the cylinders

Happens to me too, at first I thought I must just be sitting over the tube line or something... but obviously not.
