are they just fixing it for you jonesy or are you getting it made into a hybrid?

as I thought you was getting a quote for turning a k03 into a hybrid?:)

i asked that they said the couldnt do it but they are producing what sounded like a k04 hybrid which would need a k04 manifold and downpipe etc which wasnt for me really so didnt ask much about it

have you tried a quote from AET turbos?

**EDIT** failing that, sounds like the only other option is the GT2x...

still want a gt28rs just dont want the hassle of internal upgrades

but looks like it will have to be the gt2x :)

I posted up a thread under the awesome section to quote me on it, I think its £995....

but that is the whole kit, oil lines etc, so think I might be purchasing that at the end of the month

everything is in place now apart from the turbo, mani is still in the boot, and once i receive my bonus in June, it will all be going on:D

i have recieved back an email from atp stating that there is a month backlog on gt2x turbos.and i cant seem to find any other suppliers.

yep, can't find any anywhere wat so ever, I want one now!

was hoping to order one tomorrow but obviously if there is a backlog then I can't

yea i have been email someone at atpand its not looking good.with this turbo do we need to run boost controlers or can we use the standard n75.getting mixed reports.who will be mapping your car once this is fitted.

fit it urself dont be lazy :p

i read somewhere else that its best asking atp to put a low value on what ever you buy to avoid high import taxes, might be worth asking them

ok, well I have sent them an email so see what they come back to me with, and have asked if it is possible to put a low value on it to avoid import taxes

as for fitting it myself, hell no, fitting my FMIC was a big enough pain in the butt....I would have a good go at it, but it would prob go wrong!

just looked on the atp site and its $1390 which works out at about 700 pound and thats before import tax now you can buy the gt28rs from vagworx for £765 delivered, which one to have

personally I would stick with the GT2x...purely because it is less laggy and alot more driveable on a day to day basis IMO

how much is import tax then?
