Remember to keep rotating it between each hit.

Gonna have another go in a minute. Hopefully you'll never have to know how hard it is to hit your alloy with a hammer
You can always use a block of wood between hammer and alloy if you can't bring yourself to hit the wheel direct !!
Finally changed the wheel Sprayed some penetrating oil around where it meets the hub and through the centre hole bit. Then looseded the bolts a tiny bit and slowly drove backwards a couple of feet, hit the brakes and heard a slight noise. Jacked up the wheel and removed bolts and it had a little bit of play in it.
After rocking it backwards and forwards and hitting it with a rubber hammer on the front and behind for about 20 mins, it gradually came free.
Got some more pics of the bolt and wheel and will put them up when I get home.

Once you've been the victim of the Evil Half-Jack of Death you never trust it again.
Believe me those standard jacks skid under the car without any warning, even on level decent surfaces, dropping the car on what- or who-ever is under it.
jesus that's huge! i thought it was bad enough when i buckled my wheel really badly on a pothole about 6 weeks ago!
can't see that being refurbed really with that big hole through it, would have thought the air pressure would bugger it up...always worth an ask though ain't it

That's really bad luck! Can't you get onto the council about it? Maybe get some pennies for it?

yeah thats true...still waiting for my verdict but plenty of people have claimed the last few months!
I dont know if the council would do anything. If it was a pothole then maybe, but they will probably say its not their responsibilty what lies in the road
unless you say you were following a council van and it fell off the back
Even if it was possible to get that hole fixed, which I doubt, I'd never have any confidence in it so would want to replace it anyway.
