All, at the moment on my 06 FR TDi i'm getting between 43-47 mpg (which is fine by me :) ) If i was to get a remap, in all honesty will that figure reduce much?

I really quite fancy the extra torque, but I can live without it if subsequently my economy will reduce greatly.

Cheers

Ok thanks for that, sounds good :) Is that the case with all tuning companies? I would seriously consider using you guys at p-torque but i'm in Hertfordshire so Wolverhampton is a bit too far away!

Cheers

All the 170pd's we have mapped so far see a slight improvement in MPG. Usually 2- 3 +

This is due to optimised injection, and improved torque. More torque = less load and therefore less injection :)

Is there a thread about this (that i'm too lazy (busy) to search for, sorry) on these forums?

Just wondering how you got round any DPF/dodgy DMF (flywheel) problems that some people have had in the past with remaps.

We have been tuning these 1 month after the release of the 170PD's. To date no issues at all. P-Torque were one of the first companies to be tuning them.

Many tuners struggled with these engines, but we worked to ensure it was perfect first time.

Flywheel problems were due to faults as stock, not map related ;)

Mine's had a CC remap for a while and I also get about 39-42 which is about the same as I got before the remap. Big difference in performance but none in MPG.

Hi, I have had mine fitted with a P-box from new so I cant tell you about any improvements or not in fuel consumsion. I am getting 35mpg on average with 95% of this in town and I do drive hard i.e front tyres shot less than 6.5K. You will love the extra power but some guys say they are getting 180 bhp + standard.
Is it worth checking yours first to see what the gains will be? Only down side will getting grip as the extra torque will cause the front wheels to spin, although you dont have to use all of it. Looking at getting a LSD to esure the power gets on to the road.
