if you keep your originals in the boot, and you get pulled, is there any way of escaping the fine etc?

You've just gotta be nice to them (its hard lol) and plead ignorance....

I wouldn't tell them you've got spairs in your boot because that implies you knew they were illegal.

Got mine off ebay, came within a day and had everything for fitting too.

mind you my vts didnt break much but my fiesta did and this has played up abit but the corsa dont get me started on that.
 
I gotta say the spanish plates are cool, but the spanish don't have the tax inserts on the plates, neither do they have the line in the middle so I think that doesn't really give the spanish look....but hey!

Anyways, heres my plates:
