MDS S3 one is the same size as an LCR at 19mm? and fits exactley the same as an R32 unless im missing something here

the ones i have changed have mostly tapered at some point

Thanks Jase, honestly never seen one taper like you mention only at the attachment points but ill report back when i receive my new R32 ARB as to whether or not its wasted/tapered.

Can you get the Eibach without getting a kit? You couldn't when I got a rear one - which didn't fit well and got replaced with a Neuspeed.

Neuspeeds are probably the best but come on for a big bent bar I think there taking the piss with prices, especially considering how weak the dollar is at the mo!

I honestly think the difference between 25 or 28mm will be negligble on the road and the rear 28mms only done by Neuspeed are a joke at that price. The manufacturing process is not exactley difficult and for me to blow that sort of wad on a peice of mandril bent bar, bushes and drop links is ludicrous.

This is just my opinion and im in know way be-littleing anyones choice on these bars im sure there top notch but dont agree with the money Neuspeed expect peeps to pay for them!

Actually, the difference between 25mm and 28mm (we are talking rear?) is quite noticeable, even on the road.

28mm being too stiff IMHO, 25mm being just right. But Ruddmeister and I have agreed to disagree for about 4 (?) years on this, that he WRONGLY says 25mm isn't stiff enough.

Everyone's entitled to their own, albeit incorrect, opinion.

:bleh: at Rudd

Have you though about those new ones JBS are doing - they look quite good, although with them being hollow they might be stiffer than a solid bar (if my memory of torsional stiffness and bending moments is correct).

I was wondering If I should just edit your post to say I was right.........but 2 wrongs don't make a right :cartman:

28mm is perfect..........the LCR needs to be as stiff as possible.......

The only thing I can agree on is the 4 years we have been having this 'discussion' ;) the one difference Phil is at least you (like me) have driven a variety of modified LCR's hence it's an informed opinion we have rather than guesswork.....

So would a bigger bar at the back create more or less understeer?

bigger than what? Bigger than Stock, or Bigger than 25mmm? What size bar do you (would you) have on the front? It's difficult to say, you see.

And perhaps that just shows how much it's down to opinion/preference?

Not going to argue, but I thought that a lot of the cars I drove that had the 28mm rear pushed the front, and when the back did go, it went more suddenly. Maybe your driving style is different and you don't induce these things as much. Who cares - it's a short week, and the clocks go forward this weekend...

Oh, and another thing - I'm SURE that the 25mm Eibach I had on (for a bit) was stiffer than the 25mm Neuspeed. I much preferred the Neuspeed on my setup.
