where is the engine speed sensor?

does anyone know where the Engine Speed Sensor (G28) is? if you do is it easy to find? and could you explain it in idiots terms ty

at the front of the engine, on the right side just before the gearbox casing.

no, that's not it - it's a black circular thing that's inserted right through your block

if i bought a new G28 sensor is it easy to fit or should i leave it upto the garage?

well i've booked the car into the garage for a new sensor on the 1st of april, hopefully this will get it starting again!!

no i didn't find it, in the end it wasn't the g28 sensor but the pick up pipe from the crankshaft got blocked and blew causing metal to get sucked into the engine causing it to be a write off have a look at tis thread, http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=167084
