Rebecca who provides Freddy Nordstrom's PR to us asked me to pass on her thanks to the people at SeatCupra.net camp on the infield whom she met on Sunday who kindly took some of the Freddy Nordstrom postcards.

Thanx for the reply but your camera Pete is a little out of my price range but chungsters pics look good to me and the camera isn't that expensive
Thanks

Chris :)

Don't forget it's not just the camera you have to account for. The lense plays a major part in the quality of the pictures and most of all the person holding it needs to know what they're doing as well. :D

And please, I don't need any more students at each race  Lee is quite enough work :p

If only I'd known you were there you would have had another one following you about. :D

Or you may have done if I wasn't sleeping half the time.

haha...yup i need all the training i can get right now to make best use of the D40x. I spoke to Pete before i bought it on what is good for what i wanted to do (at my budget as he knows how tight i am lol), and this was the one he recommended. I bought it whilst back in the Far East so was much cheaper than one bought here in UK, and I got a Nikkor 70-300mm lens with VR as well :D

Yesterday was major improvement on my previous 2 outings so its all good.

2nd lesson may well take place at Thruxton but I've told a friend I'd be at Rockingham to support her hubby in the British GT series so we'll see. :)

oh and beware of the accessories bug (bit like modding bug with cars really)

already bought a monopod (excellent vfm for how it helps the pic taking) but the proper lenses are serious dosh if u want to take things further.

I won't bother to say how much Pete's lens cost..it might scare you off lol.

I know about the lense thing. I've got a Canon F4 70-200 L with a 1.4x extender and that's at the cheap end of the L series lenses. Decent tripod and monopod next me thinks.

Lee, you haven't got the bug yet...

Oh just thought, there's a lens + other stuff missing from that pic now

:-o That's a serious amount of kit.

 All we need to do to make some cash now is mug you while you're carrying it. ;)

The 300mm is an F2.8, but the D3 is a full frame body so I use a teleconverter on it which makes it a 420mm f4.

All my lenses are f2.8, apart form the 85mm/1.4, but then I need the good lenses for the wedding photography.
