5x112 won't fit, well they will with 20mm adaptors so factor in another £200...

They should fit though, i'd go 205/40/17 on a 17 x 7 wheel.

Right - I've decided to stick with the std cupra wheels 7 x 17 with 205/40/17s. Ive contacted a guy who's selling some at a reasonable price - however they involve quite a trek to collect and tbh I can't be bothered. Has anyone purchased a set of wheels privately at distance and had to arrange carriage? If so - who would you recommend?

Log on to the parcelforce website. Easy to use and cheap too!

Just to add my 2 pennies worth, 215/35 18s dont rub and you can lower away too! Remove the plastic arch liners and 60mm+ is possible. :)

STFU? As soon as I have the car back from being lowered I will post pics. Only have them at standard ride-height at the mo.

I didnt say it hadn't been lowered just that I haven't picked it up as I work away for weeks at a time.

So really giving me insults says more about you than anything else. This is why I tend to bored of forums, keyboard warriors.

Ok Ok lets just end this one here before it goes into the scrap yard! lets just wait till the pics are posted because if VWScooby is right then Cuprastoo you may look a bit silly :s

All depends on the offset and with 215/35/18's the most likely will fit with no rubbing, 60mm isn't that much to lower, mine was 75mm+ and didn't rub on the back with 18's!

On the front however... I could turn the wheel as the arch sat on the tyres...

Exactly! I like the challenge of fitting silly wheels and big drops! Working out offsets and tyre sizes and juggling them around is all part of the fun! That what modifying a car should be, fun :) I don't want to get into an arguement.

(Oh one last point, I do talk to my mechanics and they have driven the car. So yes I guess I am going on hear-say but hey-ho).

As I got them second-hand (They need a good repolish but no curb marks. Well except the one I put there the day i fitted them!) they have been discontinued!

They are Hijoin&Dynamic dished split rims. I hadn't heard of them before but a couple of people on the Skyline owners forums had them so I figured they couldn't be that bad!
