Difference between these k04-001 turbos

Hi,
Do you guys know the difference between these 2 turbo's, both should be a
k04-001 ?

The 1 from ebay is a lot cheaper at 550 dollar !

The 1 ive seen 950 dollar

Don't have enough info on the top one to comment but the second one is a cheap Chinese version of the K04-001, not a genuine Borg Warner product. Therefore the parts are likely to be poor in quality in comparison to the "real thing".

How can you tell? Do they not come silenced?

As far as i'm aware theres only one unsilienced version of the 001. But i might be wrong.

I've asked the owner about the turbo why it is different.

This is his answer;
hi there, it does't effect the installment,we just increase a silencer merely thanks.

I also asked why they build it this way, whats the use of the big silencer ?

How do you thing about the kwality of the turbo whit the silencer ?
Its made in china.

Oke, the 1 from china saves me like 350 dollar ;( do.

I will do some more research first !

Just need to find someone who has the turbo from china, to ask hes experience

buy cheap buy twice mate, its been discussed a thousand times over. Avoid cheap turbos from china at all costs

what would you rather do, buy a cheap turbo and run the risk of seriously damaging your engine when it blows, due to unreliability, or spend a little more for peace of mind and have a genuine borg warner turbo with good reliability

never understood the logic behind buying cheap car parts, as it only will lead to issues further down the line!!

Before this thread how should i know how the turbo's in china are ??
Im rooki @ turbochargers. And ive no1 ever tryed the turbo you dont know ive they suck. Maby they are good..

unfortanaly i also wont take that risk so i will money for a proper Borg Warner

Someone on ukmk1v has just purchased a K03s form dragonparts and it exploded after a month.

Don't buy a cheap copy as it will cost way more than $350 in the long run.

you are aware the IHI of course takes quite a lot more work and most of all, cost
