As explained in another thread, my TDi Cupra is without a set of AP Brakes. Does anyone know if this set of 2008 STi Brembo's (Callipers only) will fit with an adaptor?

Cheers for any help,

You do know that none of the Cupra's have Brembo's don't you?

They are fitted with AP callipers which have "SEAT Sport" decals on them

OK, not brembo's, but AP brakes (Post edited now).

That asides, the really early models never had them.

It was only when Seat realised that at such a high price-point the Cupras weren't flying off the shelves, and they then kitted them out with the larger 4-pot stoppers.

Anyways, I need to measure the distance between the holes of my existing callipers and compare to the STi Brembo's? Will do.

Probably not. It was better that they have a radial mount so that you can built a proper carrier to install them.

All UK spec cupra's had the AP seat sport calipers as standard, it was only cupra's in the rest of the world that had standard 312's
You sure yours isnt an import?

In addition to what dancupra said when was yours built?

I got mine in October 2004, which was a couple of months after release and its got the APs. I was under the impression that the brakes were one of the big selling points for the Ibiza (was for me anyway).

Just had a quick look at the brakes there.

The discs are actually very big, thick and ventilated (I'll take a wheels off and measure them on Thursday).

The callipers have an Audi (four circles) mark, but will try to get a part number off them on Thursday when I get the wheel off.

I'll maybe take a few pictures to see if I can actually track down what brakes are fitted.

Many thanks to all who replied :).

I only know that this was one of the first TDi Cupras made and was only used as a show car by Seat themselves. Maybe it was to import spec at the time?

I'm almost certain the discs are 312's (Which would explain why they are so good anyway).

What size discs do the UK spec cars have with their AP Callipers?
