Will a Golf mk3 VR6 fit my GTI ?

will a vr6 2.8 out of a golf mark 3 fit straght into my seat gti??????

i need help thats what i want to do while its off the road.

as far as i know the engine fits straight in but im sure wiring loom has to be changed, but i heard that the mounts are the same dont quote me on it tho lol

i saw one on ebay with a vr6 in so presuming they fit okay
it will be a big job but worth it vr6 sound amazing

wiring loom, ecu and clocks required.....

but if you can get the whole car, makes it a whole lot easier, as you can just swap the entire running gear over, and then just convert the hubs back to 4-stud

How easy is pretty easy? Just out of curiousity as Im planning on an engine conversion soon.

the engine bolts straight in using vr6 mounts, and the wiring just plugs straight in to the fuse box, if u start with a gti u can use the hubs,shafts and the rad and fans, but using a lesser model like i did (1.4) i had to change a lot of stuff

has anyone done one with ac or are they all without if someone has done this do you have to buy the engine with ac or can you bolt on the one off the existing engine?

AC does come on the VR6 but very limited few corrado's and golfs.

No idea if you need the engine to come with it to have it. But it will have to have someway of driving the AC

yep the engine goes in real easy. the wiring was a pain for me though

u dont need the clocks i think u do if u use a odb2 engine but not for the odb1. i cant really think of any really nasty bits tbh. just sort out ur suspension and stuff as well lol
