Low spec MkIVs always needed bigger wheels really cos of the high hips.
MkV definately looks more solid. Prefer the rear lights on the MkIV though...

I suppose when you put it like that i sound a bit harsh. Its something about the backend of the mk5 i dont like!

sorry to bring up an old thread...
can't use that as an excuse...put a standard facelift mk4 1.2 beside an FR and they look pretty similar, just the rear bumper and alloys are different on the outside (along with silver mirrors).
i am also more of a mk4 fan over the mk5, but believe the facelift mk5's will be sexy as hell watch out

All the mk3 guys dont like the mk4 and all the mark 4 guys dont like the mk5.

Well I am sorry to say but I have moved from seat to skoda and have brought a Fabia VRS SE
Will miss the FR :-(
why? Same car afterall and you work for SEAT?
Yes and yes but, its a SE which is the last run of them and theres only 1000 made with all the extras and have leather seats. But was really surpised what a total different car it was, just the little things like flip key and cooled glove box, black headlining ect. Plus I wanted a car so people didn;t say owww it that a company car, NO is isnt!
