Car Needs Service Display

Does an mk1 LCR have the digital 'car needs service' display on the dash like it does in vw golfs?

Yep - mines just started coming on - when you turn ignition on it flashes in the odometer something along the lines of "Service in 2000 miles"

Yep - When it comes up it explains in the handbook how to clear it also.

push the Right button IN

Turn ignition on

Let go of right button

Turn left button to the RIGHT

turn ignition off

JOB DONE

For mine I did this

Button1 = the button used to reset milage


1) Hold button in
2) Turn ignition on whilst holding buttonin
3) Once ignition is on, turn the button right whilst keeping it held in
4) Hold it on the turn until the display flash's back to total miles
5) Turn ignition off

It should now be all clear

I have searched and have not found anything relevant, also as I wrote earlier my service manual is in f-r-e-n-c-h and thats unreadable to me.
